Aah well. No one won in the UK election. It certainly makes sense of all those mystifyingly gloomy influences across the board of all leading candidates. And the very stuck UK chart (tr Saturn conjunct Solar Arc Pluto). There will now be a period of backroom deal making at Westminster to see who can make it to a precarious No 10 tenure, presumably fairly short lived.
Pluto moving off 5 degrees Capricorn from about May 19th will make a considerable difference. Tory leader, David Cameron loses his heavy duty, slog-on tr Pluto conjunct Sun/Saturn for a brief window of less pressure till July. Nick Clegg, the Kingmaker Lib Dem leader, loses his devastating tr Pluto conjunct Mars/Saturn, square Mars/Uranus which I could never see working in his favor on polling day. Despite the Lib Dems poor result he’s in a key position to throw his weight and support around. Both he and Cameron have tr Jupiter trine their Jupiter early June which is minor enough but may be a straw in the wind of a Tory/Lib Dem sort-of agreement.
Gordon Brown though won’t notice that much change since he’s got tr Pluto opposition his Uranus at the moment which is total upheaval; and then tr Pluto moves to trine his Solar Arc Uranus from later this month which is also – upheaval. He’ll be bad tempered at that point more visibly than usual. Admittedly he’ll lose the sinking tr Pluto conj Mars/Neptune which has dragged him down over the Election. If his birth time is exactly spot on then he’s got tr Jupiter conjunct tr Uranus conjunct his Jupiter/Ascendant from early June which is a fortunate rearrangement of circumstances.
What’s interesting looking back on previous UK hung parliaments in 1974, 1951 and 1929, in every one there was planetary activity in early to mid Cardinal signs affecting the UK 10 degree Capricorn Sun square Uranus at 1 degree Libra and the 19 degree Cancer Moon. And here we are again with exactly the same.
The Labour Party, who have been in power for 13 years mainly under Tony Blair, looks out of commission for a few years ahead from 2010. The Liberal Democrats (the likely minority partner) don’t looked at all cheered in 2010 though they do look remarkably more upbeat come 2011/12. The Conservative Party will pick up into next year though Cameron has failure transits right through this one so it’ll be a tough furrow to plough if he does cobble together, a no doubt, short lived coalition.
Jessica Watson
Good for Jessica Watson for making her round the world solo sail at 16. She was born on 18 May 1993 so is a hugely determined, persistent Sun Taurus opposition Pluto square Saturn in Aquarius. With her Mars in Leo now having advanced by Solar Arc to form a Fixed Grand Square. You’d probably need these very strong energies to do what she did.
On her voyage she has some really difficult and high risk transits of Pluto and Saturn to her Sun/Mars midpoint. That was over the time when she had her first and subsequent major storms. She’s got some good luck, enthusiastic transits to Jupiter midpoints when she finally makes it home mid May just before her birthday. But she looks rather deflated which I suppose is only to be expected in the months to come with tr Neptune back square her Sun and opposition her Solar Arc Mars. Though she had those over the start of her voyage so I’d imagine there were more panics than she let on.
What’s interesting is that her birth chart has a retrograde Jupiter which went direct 15 days after she was born – which would give her the surge of confidence when she was fifteen years of age from that to make her solo attempt. Especially since her Jupiter trines her Mercury and Sun natally. She’s had Solar Arc Pluto trine her Mars as well this year – again very pressured and risky but I suppose you’d need those kinds of hugely powerful influences to do what she did.
