Neptune for Moms & Babies

Neptune has turned direct. This is not good or bad. It just is. When a planet turns direct it seems to sort of flow a bit more. What does this mean when it comes to Neptune?

When Neptune is retrograde you may be a bit less in touch with your own needs for rest, comfort, you might be shorter with your temperament and less inclined to take care of yourself from an emotional and spiritual standpoint. However during Neptune retrograde you might be a bit more ambitious and less focused on the mellower side of life. You can actually put some of the gushy stuff on the back-burner for a time and get down to business.

Right around the time Neptune turns direct, Neptunian things like compassion, snuggling, creativity, music, poetry, movies, sleep, dreams, warm milk, baths, fairytales and the ocean. These are things that are going to be moving forward again.

What does this mean for Moms and babies? It means that Moms your love, understanding and compassion may be flowing a bit more. You may see your little one in tears and your heart just breaks with love. You may realize that you need some rest and comfort yourself. It actually might be easier now to give that to yourself. You are in touch with the feeling that if you are sleep deprived one more night without a nap or a time out with a nice cup of Chamomile tea - you are gonna lose it.

For babies they will respond more positively to soothing activities like baths, baby massages, soft music, bed time stories and hugs. Your little one may actually be a bit more emotional at this time as the planetary energies change. Put your toddler down a half hour earlier to bed if possible.

Dreams are another big one during Neptunian times. Your dreams may have taken a little hiatus and could come back strong at this time. Pay attention to dreams. Write them down. Gifts are hidden in your unconscious and these dreams can help open the door to your deepest needs.
